I like it when

I like it when I walk home from rugby training and people actually make room for me on the sidewalk.  When I am on my way to training (and clean) I still have to dodge and weave around other people who appear to be oblivious to my presence, walking in the middle of the sidewalk toward me without a care in the world.  But when I am sweaty and slightly muddy I suddenly warrant a care.  Goodbye obliviousness.  People step aside to share the path.  Couples part like the Red Sea.  Congestion clears.  Birds sing.

I need to always carry a bottle of water so that I can spritz a nice sheen onto myself when I need to get somewhere in a hurry.

You need a bell!

I thought you'd find this interesting - didn't see an email on your blog to send it privately

Jamie, that was pretty funny but I am not convinced that the bell would work here where people are more aggressive (note the mad rush to exit public vehicles first in line).

Now a taxi horn may work...

@Gweipo, that is spot on with our relationship!!! I usually know how to plan for SB although sometimes it is exhausting having to remind and remind and then get foiled when he forgets anyway and can't be found.

On the bright side, as long as time isn't a huge factor (unfortunately it usually is) I can get double the pleasure on outings. I don't buy tickets for repeat performance shows because we are usually too late to be allowed inside on the first attempt so I can get a dinner out of that night and then catch a later show.
