he said, she said

SB made green chili for dinner. He was torn between adding flour to thicken it or leaving it as it was because it tasted perfect. Would it still be chili if it wasn't thick?

What I said: Whatever it is, I'm sure that it will be delicious.

What he heard: Whatever it is, I'm sure that it will give me the sh*ts.

He preferred my statement as he heard it.
